GUIDE for Beginners

Lvl 1 : Try a couple of our Level 1 model kits. No tools are required. These "touch gate" snap-fit models are perfect for starters.

Lvl 2 : Next try HG models. High Grades have a lot of play value upon completion, but don't forget you'll need basic tools!

Lvl 3 : To continue building more models, you can build a collection of tools to make the process smoother and easier.

Lvl 4 : Once the kit is built, you can make it look better with a variety of methods like panel lining, top coating, and applying decals!

A Unique Look with Some Problems - When I did first see the Barzam, I thought this thing looked absolutely amazing. Very few color correction stickers, a clear pink plastic piece for the eye, an all new pieces built specifically for this kit, what could possibly go wrong? Well, nothing went wrong per se, but the way that Bandai made the frame was very... Experimental. You can tell that this kit was used as a petri dish for new ways to make joints and connections for other kits. The biggest muck up with the kit being the connection joint between the lower and upper body portions. Due to the lack of skirt armor, the Barzam doesn't have a conventional hip section, and the connection point is actually angled 90 degrees and plugged into the front chest portion underneath. Trying to pose this kit was a pain in the rear due to the fact that I felt like I'd have so much more leg movement than what I actually did, as the ball joint that was plugged (very loosely mind you) into the chest kept separating. The arms unfortunately aren't much better, as the weirdly shaped armor prevents you from getting much of a bend, the elbow also barely being able to get a 90 degree bend to it on its own. The wrists do have some additional articulation, but only so you can see the fake beam sabers stored in the arms that you can't even wield. All that being said though, there are still things to be loved about this kit. As I said before, there are little to no foil stickers used on this kit, the biggest ones being one for the back of the head, and a round one used for the side of the head vulcan pod. There are 5 total red foil triangles to put on the chest and both legs, but they are quite tiny so a little red paint could easily replace them. The weapon for the Barzam is also actually pretty cool and unique, as it has an ammo belt that can either plug into a small grey piece up near the shoulder, or one that acts as a traditional MS-style E-pack which doesn't need to be plugged into the arm, giving you much more posability with it. In addition, you do get 2 wieldable beam sabers with 2 clear yellow beam effect parts, which actually look really awesome with the finished product. If you're looking for a kit that will look nice with the rest of your Titans Mobile Suit army collection, this kit is well worth it for the price it's listed as.
